Why This Exists
This project began with the life of Guy Raymond Burgoyne — and the realization that his story is not rare.
Behind many men who struggle are:
• Early identity loss • Untreated trauma • Addictive coping • Emotional suppression • Isolation masked as strength
We are here to interrupt that pattern.
Beginning March 5, 2026, we are opening The Freedom Forge: Authentic listening, Authentic Healing. A 'reset room' for men.
Guy Raymond Burgoyne was a talented pre-Olympic ski jumper at thirteen years old — until one jump ended his dream and fractured his identity.
He became a husband. A father. A man carrying trauma he didn’t know how to name.
What looked like progress from the outside — marriage, children, a home — was, inside, mounting pressure. Mental health struggles and addiction surfaced. Conflict escalated. Silence deepened.
He was not an evil man. He was a hurting one.
Years later, after distance, survival, and too many unanswered questions, we learned the final details of his death. Our children had to confront what no child should.
This story is not about blame. It is about context.
About how untreated trauma and lost identity can quietly shape a life. About how men often suffer without language, without tools, without safe places to unravel safely.
Guy’s story is not unique. It is Every Guy’s Story.
